Ray Storey-Assistant Coach

Ray Storey is a native of Chesapeake, Va and attended Oscar Smith. Ray went on to Howard University where he was a member of the men’s soccer team for all four years.
Ray began his coaching career in 2017 as an assistant with a local club team, the Virginia Rush. In 2020 he accepted his current coaching position with Regent as an assistant to the Women’s team. Coach Storey says he chose Regent University for the “the opportunity to learn under Coach Mercy Akide-Udoh, an Olympic soccer player and arguably one of the Greatest African women’s soccer players.”
As a young coach, Ray’s biggest accomplishments have come through the relationships he has built with his players and the role he has played in helping athletes develop their love for the game. While at Regent University his goal is to add value to the Women’s soccer program by giving in the game both technically and tactically.
