Salma Luevano Zambrano was born in Zacatecas, Mexico and raised in Aurora, Colorado. Salma graduated from Otero Junior College with an Associate Science degree. Where she played two seasons for the women’s soccer program. During her time at OJC, the team earned its first ever in school history, Women’s Region IX Championship and made Nationals, following a Runner-up the second season.

Transferring to Shaw University to complete her Bachelors in Exercise Science: Fitness and Wellness. During her time at Shaw, Salma was apart of the inaugural Shaw Women’s Soccer Team. Leading as a Captain for 3 years in their best school record of 12-4 in 2018.

After graduation, Coach Salma was named the the first Women Soccer Coach at Shaw University. Becoming an assistant to continue building the program.
